Regan has big goals for her atheltic career. Since her first taste of provincial competition at the BC Summer Games in 2010, Regan has slowly but steadily climbed through the ranks of Canadian distance running, from High School Zone Champion to National Junior Champion to World University Games finalist. She holds the provincial 3000m steeplechase record for British Columbia and graduated from Trinity Western University as a triple record-holder and the most decorated individual sport athlete in the school's history with 5 USPORTS medals. She made her first Jr National Team in 2013 for the PANAM Junior Championships in Medellin, Colombia and most recently competed for Team Canada in the Mixed Relay at the 2019 World Cross Country Championships in Aarhus, Denmark and at the 2019 IAAF World Championships in Doha, Qatar in the 3000m Steeplechase. Her 3000m steeplechase PB puts her 3rd on the All-Time list for Canadian women. She currently resides in East Vancouver and works for the Vancouver School Board as an Support Worker for students with special needs.

Personal Information

Family BackgroundRegan has a younger brother and an older sister. She grew up in South Hazelton, BC, where her parents, Maurice and Marilee, still live.
Intro to RunningRegan always had a strong competitive drive and sports were a great outlet for this. She had many people who nurtured her involvement in elementary-level sports including teachers, volunteer coaches and her parents. This support continued on into high school where she was involved in every extracurricular activity she could do. In grades 11 and 12 she focused on cross country in the fall, basketball in the winter, and track in the spring/summer before moving onto university where she trained for running all year round.
Other InterestsRegan has a B.A. in General Studies as a precursor to a B. Ed. in High School Mathematics and Social Studies for which she has her capstone practicum left to complete. She enjoys spikeball, cribbage and coconut buns. Regan is a leader with THINX, a company focused on destigmatizing periods.
